Round Table

Round Table is a sound object/ instrument that was built for the performance at a radio show Kunstradio (ORF, Austria). The genre was supposed to be a radio one - but I decided that I would build it (a genre) as an object.

The round table plays three single records (the pickups are from below) by means of (simple theremin) proximity controls. All in alll there are twelve sensors (theremins) that control the motors (action and direction) and some of the sound amplification properties (volume, balance, treble, bass controls on VCA chips).
